Queen’s Park Football Club are offering a Sports Science/Strength & Conditioning internship(s) for the 2025/26 season. The internship will offer an exciting and valuable opportunity working withing academy football whilst ing 1st team duties if and when required.
Key tasks/responsibilities: 5e3y4i
- Assist and lead the delivery of gym programming and pre-training activation
- Assist and lead the delivery of pitch-based warm-up’s
- Assist and lead the planning and periodisation of long term athletic development curriculum for the academy
- Assist in HOME match day
- Assist with anthropometric and performance testing (VALD, Lightgate systems)
- Collect external data e.g., GPS and send reports to head coaches/staff
- Any other duties as reasonably and willingly required

The ideal candidates will be ionate about physical performance and football and must have a strong desire to build a career within professional football. The role would be suited toward recent graduates, or current 3rd or Final Year students who are undertaking an undergraduate degree in Sports & Exercise Science or those seeking experience as a requirement in a part-time course.

- An excellent communicator and confidence in ability
- Excellent time-management skills alongside being organised on a daily basis
- Proficient in IT software e.g., Excel, Word
- Up-to-date knowledge with research methods in sports science/S&C
- Previous experience working with Statsports or Catapult GPS systems
Desirable: 6l2360
- Experience working with elite youth athletes in a practical setting
- Prior experience working within football preferably
- Working towards any external accreditation’s that the club may able to or assist with
