RYA Scotland Board seek Finance and Coaching Non-Exec Directors 3t2x2
RYA Scotland is one of the foremost volunteer-led Sport Governing Bodies in Scotland. We protect and promote the interests of Scotland's boating community and the people across nearly 140 RYA d Clubs, Class Associations and Training Centres across Scotland.
To this work, we are seeking to appoint two individuals to our Board of Directors, an Honorary Treasurer and a Director of Coaching.
RYA Scotland's mission is to inspire, nurture and people, places and communities to develop themselves, positively influence others, celebrate successes and share a lifelong enjoyment of boating in Scotland across several areas of activity.
We are at an exciting phase having recently embarked on our revised strategy, People Places and Communities, Together on Water, which provides more background as to how we bring this work to life.
Being a member of the RYA Scotland Board is a great opportunity to apply your professional skills and expertise to the sailing and boating community in Scotland, and is a positive way to give back and to connect with the community.
Who are we looking for? 5f5l5x
Our new Directors will ideally be active of the sailing and boating community, in any aspect of participation. You do not need to be a highly qualified sailor with an impressive sailing CV, but you must have a ion for water sports, an ability to work with others and a desire to help develop the sport.
We believe strongly in equality, diversity and inclusion and value very highly the benefits of having different points of view and experiences in our organisation. Accordingly, we hope to receive applications from a wide range of talented people regardless of their own characteristics.
Appointment will be for up to 3 years, although a second term is possible.
