Applicants should have experience in playing or coaching hockey to a high level as well as good player management skills. Applicants should be dedicated and able to promote and solidify high standards within the squad. Coaching applicants must have obtained a Scottish Hockey Level 2 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent) and have a real desire for the personal development of athletes in a performance development environment.  

This part time role will include leading two training sessions per week (planned by the Head of Performance Hockey, Neil Allan), assisted by an Assistant Coach, as well as being the match day lead for the majority of the 2XI’s Scottish Hockey (Saturdays; Regional League 1) and BUCS (Wednesdays; Scotland 1) where available.

Salary: £6000 on a self-employed basis  
Contract Duration: Fixed term for the period of 1 year with the option to renew annually.  
Start date: 1st August 2025

  • Scottish Hockey Level 2 Coaching qualification (or equivalent)   
  • Lead Performance Development (2XI/3XI) training.  
  • 2 training sessions a week, Mondays and Thursdays, totalling ~ 4 hours/week  
  • The desired candidate will be able to attend the majority of 2XI Saturday matches, and 2XI Wednesday matches where available.
