The Goalkeeping Coach is responsible for the implementation of the Queen’s Park goalkeeping methodology, as well as the technical, tactical, physical and overall development of our academy goalkeepers.

The Goalkeeping Coach falls under the direct responsibility of the Head of Goalkeeping.
Responsibilities: q3w5g
- To plan, prepare and deliver coaching sessions in line with the club philosophy and goalkeeping methodology.
- To complete all relevant information on the Queen’s Park data platform.
- Attend fixtures, working constantly with the goalkeepers throughout.
- Give regular to all the goalkeepers using performance data and footage from matches.
- Be responsible for the maintenance of training/match balls, bibs, cones and all other relevant equipment as required by the Academy.
- To attend in-service and coaching days as directed by Head of Goalkeeping.
- To recommend and recruit players for the academy in line with the Head of Academy Recruitment.
- To assist in the decision-making process regarding the g of academy goalkeeping trialists and the retention of goalkeepers currently at the club.
- Maintain honesty and integrity at all times when working with young goalkeepers at the football club.
- Be presentable and smart at all times when representing Queen’s Park Football Club.
- To undertake all reasonable tasks delegated by the Head of Goalkeeping

- Must be qualified to Goalkeeping Level 2 (minimum)

- Experience in a similar or related role, demonstrating development and continuous improvement.
- Committed, enthusiastic and ionate about the development of goalkeepers.
- An understanding of a range of teaching / learning styles to optimise the development of young goalkeepers.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as using your own initiative in developing players and coaching sessions.
- Able to communicate effectively with players, parents and staff at all levels.
- Able to adapt to the demands of the job and needs of the players / coaches.
